It's been a crazy week for me so getting out on the bike and doing something familiar was much appreciated, weather was cooperating as well as temps weren't quite as hot as they have been.
Route for the ride was a familiar one out to Waverly, while the temps might have been mild the wind was ramped up making the climb out of Lincoln towards Waverly road a little more difficult than normal. What is it about Nebraska that we can't have all of the weather come together to make a perfect day more than once a year or so?
Great group again for the ride last night, riding is always a good time but it's even better with these guys and gals.
When in Waverly a stop at Joni's is almost a must do, not wanting to buck tradition a ice cream was had.
With bellies full of Waverly's finest frozen dairy, it was time to head for home. While the wind wasn't exactly with us for the return trip, it wasn't exactly against us either... sometimes it's the little things.
Seemed like there was much more road debris on the shoulder than usual during this ride, not sure what that is all about but it finally claimed a victim and Bill was the unfortunate person to flat. With that flag just so in the background at least it was a very patriotic place to flat.
Thanks to everyone who came out last night and fought the wind and dodged the riffraff on the road, as always you guys rocked. Hope to see you all again next week.
